After yesterdays 55 km plus the super steep up at the end where we all had to walk our bikes 1 km and 200m up, we had a much easier day planned today. We left Vapata valley and climbed up and over in to Komen, which is still wine country. We stopped for a break at the top of an old walled city, Stanfel, where we bought a bag of cherries from the local farm woman and explored the town a bit. Then back on our bikes for a raucus descent on large 'gravel' (more like large rocks!) road to Komen where we are staying in probably the nices place we've had and eating at the gormet restaurant associated with the rooms.
