We slept deeply while it stormed most of the night. As we woke up the rain let up and as we ate the amazingly fresh yogurt and sipped our coffee we watched the clouds release their hold on the mountains.

A mostly down hiking day today but thankfully on mountain paths, which we find very enjoyable and interesting. The views are world class with the clouds below us and the mountains above us.

The best part is a surprise water trough with self serve drinks - we get Radlers to quench our thirst and pay the very modest price. Can’t beat hiking in the alps!

Today we stay in a small village as all the huts were reserved being a weekend. A hiking shuttle bus brings us down the 10 minutes from where the trail put us. We get settled in the room, I take a dip in the natural ‘pool’ (pond that has been tiled and is very refreshing!) while the others shower. Then Crys and I run errands and sneak in an ice cream. Returning to the ‘kamp’ where we are renting a room, they had a smoker going - very promising. We eat dinner at the restaurant and the daily special is smoked trout! Super delicious.
