Day 35 8/5/21

Our last full day is a zero here at Jenny Lake. Of course a zero is never really a zero and we once again had a 5.30 alarm to get over to the boat shuttle across the lake at 7 am to beat the crowds.

We hiked up Cascade canyon for 8 miles round trip ans joined the stunning views, waterfalls, and a large bull moose. It did not disappoint!

We were back at the site around noon and ate one of our camp dinners for lunch and then relaxed. Two bike tourers showed up and we had a nice conversation with them. They are from France and will be cycling for 1.5 years to Argentina after quitting their jobs that they didn’t enjoy. It was great talking with them and getting some info in the Loire river bike tour, which is next on our list. As we sat around our last camp fire with the French cyclist, the sky’s started to grumble ans spit and then opened up and we dove for our tents. Another deluge that last for several hours and put us to sleep.
